Project Progress: GDD

Game Introduction

Genre: 2D side scroller

Gameplay: The gameplay is fairly simple. It's basically a better (and probably more broken version of flabby bird). You would use the mouse or space bar to jump over obstacles.

Target Audience and platforms: The target audience are my classmates and people between the ages of 12-25. The platform will be pc only.

Look and feel: SIMPle. I learnt from last semester to not overhype it because then i will be disappointed in the lack of hype in it. The idea is to have a cat jumping over cacti and possibly collecting fish.

Story: You play as a hungry cat on the adventure to collect food and jump over obstacles in your way. The more you eat, the happier you will be and the more satisfied the cat will be.

Aesthetics/Inspiration:


Artwork: It will be simple, like the basic. If we need to create our own stuff for this, I can draw it easily and if we can source it, then even better because the graphics will be decent at most.

Level Design: I would have it one consistent level. I can make a level 1 and level 2 and have each level be a set amount you need to score before you progress.

Technical Requirements: The game will be made in unity or something similar to make a 2D game.
